King Solomon’s Baby was a styrofoam sculpture priced at $100,000 if purchased by one buyer. If two buyers participated, it was split in half and each buyer would pay $50,000. If three buyers, three pieces, and so on. Up to 1,000 people could purchase the artwork, reducing it into 1,000 slices at $100 each. After sales closed, the sculpture was cut into 1,000 pieces as a live performance on view at Pioneer Works and online via a livestream.
